1991年、ウズベキスタン共和国が旧ソ連から独立した時、ウズベキスタンの国歌が なかったため、旧ソ連時代の歌（Mutal Burhanov作曲）がそのまま使われました。 しかし、歌詞はAbdulla Aripovによって、新しく書かれています。
